Crazy as it sounds, I used to buy precious organic raspberries and then let them rot in my fridge. Why? Because they felt too special. I was unconsciously saving them for some future rainy day when I’d finally deserve them. Of course, raspberries don’t wait — they mold fast. Time and again, I’d return to the fridge, finally “ready” to enjoy them, only to find them ruined.
If you can relate, you probably have your own version of “raspberry madness.” There’s a deep, old part of us that withholds satisfaction — that tells us we need to earn life’s sweetness. Sure, we might snack on Pringles before we even leave the grocery store, but those perfect raspberries? Those we save. Because they feel too good for us right now.
Tomorrow night’s Taurus Full Moon is here to change that.
Taurus energy is earthy, embodied, and devoted to savoring life’s richness — the simple joys that anchor us in the present moment. Early birds, catch the moon setting as the sun rises on Wednesday morning. It’s a deeply Taurean experience: grounded, sensual, and alive.
Taurus invites us to fully inhabit our senses — to touch, taste, smell, and move through life with appreciation. It teaches us that true contentment lies in what feels nourishing, not in excess or denial.
Of course, every sign has its shadow. For Taurus, it’s swinging between overindulgence and self-denial — a dance between too much and not enough. The sweet spot? Knowing your just right. Two glasses of wine that make you glow, not three that give you a headache. One slice of pumpkin pie that delights, not two that leave you queasy.
So why do we so often deny ourselves the good things? What’s so scary about letting ourselves enjoy life — without guilt, without waiting until we’ve earned it? Maybe it feels indulgent, or maybe it touches an old story of unworthiness. For me, those raspberries symbolized the belief that I wasn’t there yet — that I had to be better before I could taste joy. But saving them only ever left me with a moldy mess.
What “moldy mess” are you left with when you postpone what you love? Do you skip skiing because of busywork? Say no to lunch with a friend because it feels unproductive? Put off a massage because it feels self-indulgent?
Loving ourselves enough to enjoy what brings us delight is not frivolous — it’s essential. When we deny ourselves life’s sweetness, we breed resentment and burnout.
So, under this Taurus Full Moon, I invite you to ground into your body and revel in what feels good. Let your senses lead. Do something simply because it nourishes your soul — no justification needed.
