Multiple planetary shifts invite change. What are you ready to move on?
The skies are alive with the sound of astrology. Multiple planets are convening and shifting signs this week. Mars meets up with Neptune and Saturn. The sun joins Chiron. The Aries new moon provides a reset and Taurus season takes root. Lots of juice swirling for one little week.
When planets align, they join forces. Parts of our lives overlap, like a fold in the time-space continuum. This can feel smooth if they’re vibing, or rocky if they’re not.
Today, Mars meets with Neptune, in Aries. Mars is our masculine energy — how we move and take action. While Neptune illustrates how we connect to our hearts and dreams. When these two come together, one ponders, am I acting on my dreams? Do I love myself enough to go for it?
Mercury enters Aries tomorrow, completing our multi-planet transition into this fiery warrior zodiac sign. Mercury represents how we think, our awareness and consciousness. Aries teaches us to be ourselves, no matter what. Through Aries we inspire others by being our authentic, unique and rad selves. With these two energies merging, one questions, am I showing up in the world as myself? Am I aware of my true self, without all the familial and societal overlays that hide the real me?
On Thursday, the sun meets up with Chiron. The sun symbolizes the light we’re learning to radiate from within. Chiron illuminates our core wounds. As these two connect, in Aries, one wonders, am I healing my emotional injuries so my authentic light can shine through? Have I cleaned the windows of my soul from the grime and gunk that all my hurts and trauma have muddied over?
Friday morning, the moon catches up with the sun for the Aries new moon. New moons are the launch pads of the monthly moon cycle. Known as seed points, we plant an intention for this single moon month. The moon represents our soul, and the sun signifies spirit or source energy. As these two unite, what intention do you want to sow that aligns your soul with spirit? What tiny step could you commit to this month to further your soul’s cause?
Saturday night, the crescent moon aligns with Venus. Look for them in the western sky, a little after the sunset. Not only is this sight awe-inspiring, but it’s the basis for the first written story we have on the earth. Remember those ancient clay tablets with cuneiform writing? Well, the first one is about the moon meeting with Venus in the sky each month. With this moon meeting, we’re at the point, in the original tale, where the goddess Inanna (aka Venus) is reclaiming her golden bracelets that she relinquished on her journey to the underworld. Think Wonder Woman’s bulletproof bracelets she used to channel her power and protect herself. As the moon and Venus unite, you could ask yourself, how are you doing with protecting yourself from outside attacks? Do you seek validation outside yourself? Do you listen to others about how you “should” be?
Finally, Sunday evening brings both Mars meeting with Saturn and the sun entering Taurus. Mars uniting with Saturn carries a different energy than Mars with Neptune. Saturn is the planet of self-discipline, emphasized by our everyday actions. Check in with how well you’re taking care of yourself and your responsibilities. Especially before the sun slips into hedonistic Taurus. Life requires a degree of self-discipline to keep ourselves on track. Where are you at with self-discipline? Do you have any? Or have you stalled in self-indulgence in ways that don’t really serve you?
Late Sunday night, the sun slides into Taurus and themes of sensual pleasure come alive more (following Venus’ recent entrance into this enjoyment-seeking sign). Taurus season invites us to follow our bodies’ desires and do what truly feels good. The shadow side is overindulgence, but the exalted side is sensory paradise. Taurus chooses what feels pleasing now, but also tomorrow and the next day. If one glass of wine feels nice, but two messes with your sleep or gives you a headache, healthy Taurus would never indulge in more than the one glass. Taurus season asks, how are you with sensual pleasure? Do you overdo it? Underdo it? Does the idea itself trigger you?
This week brings a plethora of colliding energies and opportunities. Lean into one. See if you can create a little movement in the direction you most desire to go.
