This predominantly experiential class will open your heart to the plant and tree kingdom and the earth in a profoundly personal manner and will transform you.

Whether you are desiring to help others or simply those closest to you, this class will give you the confidence and knowledge to begin using, applying and recommending essences for physical, emotional and spiritual healing and evolution.

No matter how much or how little experience you have with essences, this class is excellent for you, as we cover the basics but also explore topics and knowledge not presented in any other course.

Pens and paper (be prepared to take lots of notes!), a bag lunch, and something precious to you to include in the meditation circle on the last morning (e.g., stone, piece of jewelry, picture).

It was very interesting to see, touch, smell all the different essential oils. I loved how the class explained the whole proces with the essences from beginning to end!

Level 1 Certification Requirements

To receive certification, you must write a 5-page paper (double spaced) on an essence of your choice. You have 3 months from the date of the class to submit the paper… but we strongly recommend that you not take that long.

You can include information on the history of the essence, where and how it is produced, information on conditions, symptoms it addresses, personal experiences (your own, your clients or family) with the essence, pictures, poems, stories, etc. Please include a simple bibliography on your sources as part of the paper. It is YOUR paper and you are sharing YOUR personal experience and learning.

By submitting the paper, you are giving Wisdom of the Earth permission to excerpt sections from the paper for instructional use in our Newsletter and/or Website. Please be sure to include your name (as you would like it to appear on your certificate), address, telephone number and email address on the COVER PAGE of the paper. Also include a check for $50 payable to Sheridan Semple for the certification administrative fee. Once you have submitted your paper, you are eligible for Wholesale Distributor pricing on Wisdom of the Earth essences, a 22% discount off the practitioner price. Also, you are entitled to audit future Level 1 seminars (space permitting) at no cost, but you MUST register to do so.

Sheridan has been the most wonderful teacher for me and my level of understanding plants and energies. She never made me feel I was asking a lame question, nor did I feel uneducated in her presence. Sheridan’s energy is the perfect compliment to the essences and Wisdom of the Earth’s philosophy. I only hope all of their students are fortunate to have such a special, loving, super educated and open teacher.

I always say that the earth saved me.

In fact, I believe it can save just about anyone, no matter what they’re going through. Growing up in Aspen, Colorado led me discover my love for the outdoors and how the human body is healed by nature. I learned firsthand the healing power of the earth as a young child hiking in the mountains to be with the trees as I recovered from trauma. My connection to the land has carried me through the most challenging times in my life.

Helping others in a deep, meaningful way to use the medicine of the earth to heal themselves has always been my calling.

As a child, time and time again, I was surprised by the ways that natural medicine could cure ailments in ways modern medicine just wasn’t able to do. My passion is teaching you to trust yourself and listen to your inner wisdom and knowing to heal yourself, coupled with the consciousness of the plants to support you.

My mission is to empower you to take your health into your own very capable hands.

Connecting with the essences of the plants and trees is the best tool for self-healing I have found. I know that working with these essences offers you healing on every level – physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Bio

By trade, I am a Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP), Clinical Aromatherapist (CCA), Certified Nutritionist (CNC), and Clinical Herbalist (CCMH). I have worked in the holistic health field for 20 years and came to the power of aromatherapy through a traditional naturopath with whom I apprenticed 10 years ago. My practice is based in Aspen where I embody the local motto of mind, body spirit in my healing work with clients. I work with people locally and all over the world, as well as teach weekly classes on health and healing through aromatherapy.

Sheridan is so warm and welcoming and has so much knowledge to share. The format, order, handouts, discussion, questions and answers, personal knowledge, and everything else makes this one of the best classes ever!
